I recently decided to get new business cards. I wanted them to be different, yet effective. After doing quite a bit of research, I narrowed my choices down to three companies: Moo.com, TinyPrints.com and VistaPrint.com. Each one of these companies offers many different sizes and a multitude of pre-made designs to choose from. I wanted to be able to upload my own design (big shocker, I know), and all three of these sites have the option to do that.
I’ve ordered from VistaPrint before, but I wasn’t familiar with the quality of the cards from Moo or TinyPrints.com, so I decided to place a minimum order with each one. (I ended up spending about $20 – $30 with each company.)
From TinyPrints.com, I ordered square, matte cards (2.5″ x 2.5″) – they’re fabulous and everyone loves the unique shape/size. The colors match the design I uploaded to their site, and layout is perfect.
From Moo.com, I ordered the larger business cards with rounded edges (2.5″ x 3.5″). These are on heavier card stock and the colors and layout are perfect on these as well.
Finally – VistaPrint. I ordered the basic, regular sized business cards from them. This time, though, I decided to upload a design that was “in color”. As happened with the others, the colors and layout turned out perfectly. The cardstock is standard, but a little light/thin for my taste. The one thing that I really wanted to try, which IS offered on VistaPrint‘s website, but not offered on the others, is the option to add “foil” to certain areas of the design (at a very reasonable price). I love the way the addition of the foil turned out on these cards – it’s that little extra touch they needed. If I could have added the foil to all three versions of this business card, I would have. It looks great!
All three companies did a great job, there were pros and cons for each of them. So if you need new business cards and aren’t sure what design, size or style you want, I recommend giving a couple of them a try so you can see and feel the quality of their product and then compare the price points.
Which one is my favorite? Right now, it’s a toss-up for me between TinyPrints.com and Moo.com.
